The Sillian – Hochpustertal ski centre is just a snowball’s throw from the 4 star superior hotel, with the Thurntaler mountain, the skiing mountain in the Hochpustertal region, the ski area has one may accolades as a hidden suggestion? Thanks to its vicinity to South Tyrol, this is a place where Austrian snow and piste quality meet East Tyrolean flair and service, together with Italian joie de vivre. The mountains and slopes to the south of the Hohe Tauern mountains (1100 m to 2407 m above sea level) provide the East Tyrolean Hochpustertal area with reliable snow and above average sunshine, giving great ski conditions from December through to March/April, ideal for family skiing holidays.
For Austria’s most southern and snow-sure snow park can be found in the Dolomite massif near to the border to South Tyrol, at a smow-sure height of 2130 m, in a sunny south-easterly facing location and right next to the top station of the gondola lift with its own park lift and own snowmaking facilities.
Around the Hochpustertal ski area you can explore the most beautiful cross country ski trails and ski tours south of the Alps, or experience a true winter fairytale on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride or toboggan down one of the natural toboggan runs.
